Attractions

Our camping is located in a real tourist paradise. Swedens most visited tourist places are within a short stretch from the camping!

Vadstena

Our camping is located at the very heart of a true paradise for sightseeing and adventures. Only three kilometers away is Vadstena, a small city whose history goes all the way back to the Middle Ages which is very distinct in the architecture of the town. Here you can also visit the king Gustav Vasa's castle, a monastery church of the swedish saint Heliga Birgitta and her nunnery – and these are only a few of the attractions! We also highly recommend the monastery museum!

Omberg

We also recommend a visit to Omberg, fifteen kilometers from the camping. Here you find the Swedish author Ellen Keys house and the ruined monastery of Alvastra. In the surroundings of Omberg you can also visit the famous rune stone Rökstenen which was brought up by the Vikings when they ruled in the north more than thousand years ago.

Churches from the 12th century

Within a short stretch from the camping site many of Swedens oldest churches are situated. Some of them founded back in the 12th century. The churches are always open for visits!

Motala with the Göta Kanal

At a similar distance of Omberg, you find the city of Motala, where the Göta canal, the castle of Charlottenborg and the radio museum is located. From there, you are also close to the Medevi spring or Övralid, home of the famous Swedish author Werner von Heidenstam.
